Each year Trinity’s WELCA group collects/purchases items for Lutheran World Relief School kits and then assembles them and ships them. These kits contain essential supplies to help children — and in some cases, adults — continue learning in the face of serious obstacles. That learning leads to a better life for them, their families and their communities.
This is the perfect time of year to shop back-to-school sales for supplies. Items needed for School Kits — 70-sheet wide– or college-ruled notebook, 12 in./30 cm ruler (must have centimeters on it), pencil sharpener, blunt-tipped scissors, unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers, black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel ink), crayons (16 or 24 count), 2-1/2” eraser. New items only. Items should not have any religious symbols, USA flags, patriotic or military symbols, camouflage, or references to the armed forces.
